Recent Antique Silver Trends at Auction in May of 2025 - We attended the on-line May 9th, 2025 Silver and Vertu Auction at Heritage Auctions and have some trend updates for you.

Uptrends:

Kirk Repousse Architectural and Landscape Hollowware is trending higher and is on fire! One set of vases sold for $443.52 per troy ounce. Other pieces of landscape Repousse sold for between $150-$200 per troy ounce.

Tiffany and Gorham Mixed Metals Pieces are burning up the house and are trending very well. One Tiffany Mixed Metal Pitcher sold for $3,287 per troy ounce. A Gorham Curio Pattern Mixed Metal Bell sold for $1,158 per troy ounce.

Downtrends:

Gorham Martele is continuing to wane in demand. A water pitcher sold for $93.57 per troy ounce. A few years ago it would had sold for $200-$300 per troy ounce.

Bulky Tea Services are contining to crash in demand. A 7 Piece Coffee and Tea Service in Florenz pattern by Gorham sold for only $30.40 per troy ounce with buyer's premium. The owner of the set only netted $24.32 per troy ounce which is about what a pawn or coin shop would had paid for it just for the scrap value. Unless it's Tiffany, Jensen or another super high ender, tea sets in general are not doing well lately.
